UMAZED CORPORATION: PRIVACY AND ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION OF UMAZED SOCIAL PLATFORM
Hello! And thank you for visiting the Umazed Social Platform (“Umazed”) website. We are committed to your privacy. Please read the following information carefully. It tells you when this policy is effective, what information we collect from you, how we might use it, how you can review or change the personal information you provided to us, how we may change this policy, and the steps we take to ensure that your personal information is protected.
Once a year, you are entitled to know what information, if any, we share with other businesses and for what purposes. Please request this information by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Agreement to Terms.
Effective Date and Changes to this Policy.
Policy Applicable To Online Activities Only.
What Types of Personal and Identifying Information We Collect.
When you create an account with us, or when you enter such information on this site, we collect personal information from you including your first name, your last name, your email address, your postal address, your gender, your age, and your date of birth. We also collect financial information including your payment information and billing address. When you visit our site, we may also collect your activity data in connection with your account name and password.
Types of Non-Identifying Information We Collect.
We may also collect general information resulting from your activity on the site, including your preferences, insights, and other tendencies. This may include anonymous “traffic data” or tracking information provided by the website’s host or similar provider of such information (i.e., Google Analytics) that does not personally identify you, but may be helpful for marketing purposes or for improving the services we offer. In addition, when you visit our site, we may also log your anonymous IP addresses, a unique identifier for your computer or other access device. This helps us diagnose problems with our server, to administer our site, or to display the content according to your preferences.
Use of Click Stream Data and Cookies.
The Umazed Website Collects Click Stream Data. When you visit the website, we may also collect “click stream data”.
What is Click Stream Data? On a website, click stream analysis (sometimes called clickstream analytics) is the process of collecting, analyzing, and reporting aggregate data about which pages visitors visit in what order - which are the result of the succession of mouse clicks each visitor makes (that is, the clickstream).
How we Use Click Stream Data? This information can be combined with information you have provided to us by registering, or by some other action, and which will enable us to analyze and better customize your visits. We may use click stream data for traffic analysis or e-commerce analysis of the website, to determine which features of the website are most or least effective or useful to you. Such general information, including the click stream data and cookies, as mentioned below, may be collected from you whenever you access the site, whether or not you provide us with any personal information.
What is a Cookie? A cookie is a small string of information that the website you visit transfers to your computer for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to follow your activity on the website and that information helps websites to understand your preferences and improve your website experience. Cookies are also used for such activities as remembering your user name and password, if you use such a feature on this site. Anonymous cookies are cookies that other sites can utilize rather than site-specific cookies. You can turn off all cookies in the event you prefer not to receive them. You can also have your computer warn you whenever cookies are being used. There are also software products available that can manage cookies for you. Please be aware, however, that when you choose to reject cookies, this choice may limit the functionality of the website and you may lose access to some of its features.
How Your Information is Used.
We primarily use the personal information you provide and any general information we receive from you to provide products and services to you, including, but not limited to, the following:
To administer a content promotion survey or other site and to provide you with the relevant products or services (for example, to deliver a prize you may have won in a contest).
To send you information or materials via e-mail about products, offers, and news we think might interest you. This information may relate to products, offers, and news about us or our licensees or selected commercial partners. We will send you this information unless you have expressly opted-out of receiving e-mails from us. If you no longer wish to receive any e-mails from us, you may unsubscribe by updating your email preferences.
To analyze visits to the website and learn about the interests of visitors in aggregate and also on a personal level to better understand your interests and needs, so we can improve its products and services and deliver the type of content, features and promotions that you are most interested in.
You may control the frequency with which you receive emails from us (including the complete elimination of email notifications) by logging into your account and changing your preferences. Additionally, you can close your account and indicate that all of your related data should be deleted or, alternatively, indicate that the data can remain but the account be marked as inactive.
What Information is Shared and with Whom.
Your traffic and transaction information may be shared with our business partners and advertisers on an aggregate and anonymous basis. We may also draw inferences from this information, aggregate this information, and use this information to inform the operation of the website, enhance your website experience, or for any other lawful purpose. Such information shall be governed by this policy in the same manner as any other personal information.
We will not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or general information to third parties without informing you in advance. However, we may provide some of our services through contractual arrangements with affiliates, services providers, partners and other third parties. Our service partners may use your personal information to operate the website and deliver their services. For example, your data may be transferred to website hosting partners and other parties who assist in designing and operating the website, executing services, or helping us analyze collected data. These parties will only use your data for the purpose of carrying out the work as agreed with us and will be required to keep the information confidential. We will encourage our service partners to adopt and post privacy policies. However, the use of your personal information by service partners is governed by the privacy policies of those service partners and is not subject to our control.
Umazed uses the following third party services:
Ruby On Rails Backend Framework
Heroku Host Server Site
Sendgrid Email Server
AWS S3 Storage
A note about Sendgrid. At present, the only case where your personal information will be exchanged with third party services is in the case of SMTP Mail handling. In order to alleviate the burden on our server, Umazed uses Sendgrid to provide SMTP service through which all Umazed sourced emails will flow. Sendgrid's servers are optimized for getting mail delivered through sophisticated spam protection services. When you opt to receive our emails, we use Sendgrid to ensure that all email communication is sent from a trusted source.
What Can Other Users See?
Each user can create one avatar page and multiple social pages.
One-Way Connections. If your avatar page is following another avatar page, but they do not follow you back, this is considered a One-Way Connection. One-Way Connections have access to your Fly Posts, Blogs, and Vlogs.
Two-Way Connections. If your avatar page is following another avatar page, and they are following you back, this is considered a Two-Way Connection. Two-Way Connections have access to your Fly Posts, Blogs, Vlogs, and Insights.
Groups. Your connections can see if you are a member of an Open Group. However, they cannot see if you are a member of a Secret Group (only other members of that group can see one another).
Goals and Stitched Goals. Two-Way Connections may allow one another access to Goals and Stitched Goals, but this requires affirmative permission.
You can review your settings located in the Umazed Command Center for further details.
Please also note, other people may share content about you with the audience they choose. For example, other users may share a photo of you, mention you in a Fly Post, or Blog, or share information about you that you shared with them. If you have any concerns about material that has been shared, you can report that content by emailing us at email@example.com.
Disclosure of Your Information for Security Purposes.
Umazed fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We will release personal or general information without your consent for security purposes, when required by law, or to prevent imminent harm to any person or entity. We will disclose personal or general information upon receipt of a court order or subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation, which may include responding to requests and court orders from jurisdictions outside the United States. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful, as determined in our sole discretion.
Where Your Information is Stored.
Your information is stored in our database, Maria, which is a community-developed fork of the MySQL relational database management system intended to remain free under the GNU General Public License.
How we Protect your Information and Keep your Information Secure.
In order to protect both the personal information and the general information that we receive from you through the website, we have implemented various security measures, including but not limited to measures put in place by our web host, Pantheon Systems, Inc., and through Drupal, our platform and Content Management System. For server security, the code is controlled by a central repository and cannot be altered directly on the server. For user authentication, Drupal uses a stretched, multi-encryption method of SHA512 with a salt.
What is SHA512? A secure hash algorithm is a set of cryptographic hash functions designed by the NSA. Cryptographic hash functions are mathematical operations run on digital data; by comparing the computed "hash" (the output from execution of the algorithm) to a known and expected hash value, a person can determine the data's integrity. For example, computing the hash of a downloaded file and comparing the result to a previously published hash result can show whether the download has been modified or tampered with. A key aspect of cryptographic hash functions is their collision resistance: nobody should be able to find two different input values that result in the same hash output.
What is a salt? A salt is random data that is used as an additional input to a one-way function that hashes a password or passphrase.
Unauthorized Access by Third Parties.
Whenever you give out personal information online there is a risk that third parties may intercept and use that information. While we strive to protect your personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online. By using this site, you expressly acknowledge and agree that we cannot guarantee the security of any data provided to or received by us through this site and that any personal information, general information, or other data or information received from you through the site is provided at your own risk.
Use of This Site by Minors.
Links to Third Parties.
The Umazed site may contain hyperlinks to websites owned and operated by third parties. Where this is the case, we urge you to review the equivalent data protection, privacy and cookie policies available on such websites. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the data protection of privacy practices of third parties in relation to such websites and your use of third party websites is entirely at your own risk.
The Umazed site may include interactive forums such as message boards and chat rooms. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

For this notification to be effective, you must provide it to Umazed’s designated agent by email at email@example.com. You cannot mail your DMCA at this time, only request via email.
